We repair loudspeakers and drive units, so don't consign your old units to the skip just because they have gone faulty.

Many high end loudspeakers from the '60s and '70s were designed and manufactured by 'real' engineers, who spent many hours developing the designs and voicing the presentation through iterative processes to give the listener the very best presentation available, and many of these designs still hold their heads high amongst modern units.

Very often a drive unit fails through age, the surround can disintegrate, or the coil becomes faulty, and the crossover components can deteriorate and values move away from the original specification leading to poor sound and presentation.

We have a range of replacement Loudspeaker Drive units crosover and cabinet parts available.

Contamination and oxidisation of cables and connectors will degrade the sound, and we carry the range of DeoxIT contact cleaners and enhancers to enable the best connections possible.

Many of these louspeaker faults can be repaired, either by a recone of the original drive unit, or by substituting a carefully selected modern unit.

The internal Cables, Connectors and Crossover components will deteriorate with age, and careful rebuilding of these or upgrading them with new components can bring a new lease of life, revealing detail and improving the soundstage, bringing very satisfying and worthwhile upgrades to the sound.
